Thank you for supporting local!

At Old Town Horse & Pet, we provide safe, comfortable dog boarding in Tucson, Arizona for pet owners who want more than just a place to leave their dog - they want a place where their dog is genuinely cared for.
We believe a great boarding experience is not about unnecessary extras. It is about a clean, secure environment, knowledgeable care, and a team who treats every dog like one of their own.
Our Tucson dog boarding facility was thoughtfully designed to accommodate dogs of all sizes, personalities, and comfort levels. Whether your dog enjoys relaxing in a quiet space or prefers watching the activity around them, our accommodations are designed to help them feel safe and comfortable during their stay.
One of the things that makes Old Town Horse & Pet different is our approach to individual care. We do not mix dogs from different households. While some boarding facilities offer group play, we believe many dogs are happier and less stressed when they have a safe space of their own without the pressure of unfamiliar dogs. Instead, our team provides individual attention, affection, and interaction throughout their stay while getting to know each dog's unique personality and needs.
Cleanliness and safety are always our top priority. Every kennel is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized throughout each guest's stay by our dedicated team. We maintain our boarding facility with the same care and attention we expect for our own pets.
Our oversized, custom-built indoor kennels feature solid walls between each space, creating a calm environment where dogs can rest comfortably. Our outdoor accommodations are designed for Arizona weather, featuring climate-controlled kennels with both air conditioning and evaporative cooling. Each outdoor kennel includes a private run, allowing dogs to move between their indoor resting area and their own outdoor space while remaining safely separated from other guests.
For dogs who enjoy seeing what's happening around them, our setup provides enrichment and stimulation without requiring direct interaction with unfamiliar dogs. Every guest receives care based on their individual personality, routine, and comfort level.
We understand that choosing a dog boarding facility is a decision built on trust. When you leave your dog with Old Town Horse & Pet, you can feel confident knowing they are staying with a caring local team that values patience, safety, and personalized attention.
Our goal is simple: to provide the best dog boarding experience in Tucson by making every stay as comfortable, secure, and stress-free as possible so you can have peace of mind while you are away.
We believe in complete transparency. That's why we have an open-door policy, you're always welcome to stop by during business hours for a tour and to meet our team.

Our oversized, custom-built indoor kennels feature solid walls between each space, creating a calm environment where dogs can rest comfortably. Each outdoor kennel includes a private run, allowing dogs to move between their indoor resting area and their own outdoor space while remaining safely separated from other guests.
Our solid kennel walls provide separation from neighboring guests, helping reduce visual triggers, excessive stimulation, and stress that some dogs experience in open-style boarding facilities.
This setup can be especially beneficial for dogs who are nervous, anxious, easily overstimulated, or have reactivity concerns. Instead of requiring dogs to participate in group play or constant interaction, we focus on creating a calm, predictable environment where each dog can feel comfortable and cared for.
Our team takes the time to learn each dog's personality, routines, and individual needs so we can provide the safest and most positive experience possible. While every dog is unique and boarding suitability is evaluated individually, our local Tucson boarding facility was intentionally designed to provide a peaceful option for dogs who may not do well in traditional group boarding settings.

To keep your pet’s tummy happy, we highly recommend you bring their own food and treats, which we will feed free of charge. If you'd like us to feed them our mix of in-house food we can do that for an additional fee, but the change in diet may intensify your dog’s stress or cause digestive issues. Pets do tend to eat less during their stay, but please pack a little extra just in case their boarding stay needs to be extended.
